Welcome to Week 3 of
Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #31. We have a pretty colour swatch for you to use in your projects. If you haven't played yet, now's the time to do so.
You can use any medium to create your projects: paints, inks, pencils, pens, stains, etc., as long as you stick to the colours from the colour swatch, using as much or as little of each colour as you wish. You don't have to use
Chocolate Baroque stamps to play along but if you do you will be entered into a random draw to win £15 to spend on
Chocolate Baroque stamps. All participants will have a chance to be on the Design Team's Top Three list and proudly display the winner's badge on their blog.
Since it's February, why not start the month with a sweet, romantic card. Inspired by the watercolour background in the colour swatch, I created a card featuring the rose and sentiment from the
Rose Stem Script A6 stamp sheet. I heat embossed the
Big Bold Leafy Background using
WOW Brilliant White EP directly onto an A2 card. Then I inked it up with
Bundled Sage Distress Ink.
I inked up a piece of watercolour paper with
Worn Lipstick and
Spun Sugar Distress Inks, sprinkled some water and dabbed off the excess. Then I stamped the rose script image using
Ranger Cool Graphite Dye Ink. I stamped another set of leaves with
Ranger Olive Archival Ink and the flower in
Ranger Raspberry Sorbet Dye Ink on watercolour paper, and used Distress Inks to colour them. Then I fussy cut the leaves and the flower before adhering them to the main image. To finish the card, a few sequins and blobs of
Ranger Glossy Accent.
