HLS Christmas May: Ornaments

Hello and welcome to another monthly Anything Goes Christmas challenge with the HLS possie. If you're feeling particularly motivated and aching to flex your creative muscles, why not have a go at May's optional theme: Ornaments. You could make an actual ornament or a project that features an ornament. I opted for the latter.

This card started with vintage intentions, that led to Whimsy Way, meandered into Dotsville and suddenly I find myself in such in Cocophonus Corner! Not at all what I planned, but the colours are festive and it is LOUD. Can you hear the sleigh bells?!

I'm using an old Waltzing Mouse stamp, cut with Spellbinder die.

So now it's your turn to link up your project for the Christmas Challenge. Don' forget to check out the HLS Challenge Blog for inspiration from the Design Team.

ATSM #385: Photo Inspiration

Hello again, friends! Time for another challenge over at Addicted To Stamps and More. This week the theme is Photo Inspiration. All you have to do is create a project inspired by this fun and vibrant photo. You can pick the colours, elements, textures etc. There's no right or wrong answer.

I decided to make an Easter card with this colour palate. Not your usual Pascal combo but the yellow would work nicely. And it did! Quite pleased with the final product. What do you think?

I'm using Power Poppy's Vintage Easter Egg and Faber Castel Polychromos. The pink twine by Doodlebug and little pink gems complete the card.

HLS Christmas April: Festive Animals

Hello and welcome to another monthly Anything Goes Christmas challenge with the HLS possie. If you're feeling particularly motivated and aching to flex your creative muscles, why not have a go at April's optional theme: Festive Animals. Think reindeers, polar bears, cardinals, robins or any other furry creatures dressed up for some festive fun.

I've opted for a couple of birds from Power Poppy's Birds in Hellebores, coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos. The corners have been inked with Distress Inks and I finished the card with white sequins. The birds are the stars on this card, which is why I resisted the urge to use red for the holly berries. Not your traditional Christmas colours, but I think it works.
