That's the first week of August over! At this rate it'll be Christmas before we know it.
Today I want to share with you a card I made last week for a friend from church. She's from China and has been summoned back quite unexpectedly. Needless to say, we are all concerned for her safety. She joined our congregation three years ago and is one of the kindest, sweetest person I know. I did not want to give her a card that said goodbye, bon voyage etc. But if she followed her dreams, I know she'll be back with us soon enough.
The stamps for this card are from Alternew's Vintage Flowers set. I'm keeping it CAS with a floral spray on a plain Stitched Rectangle panel lightly inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and simply embellishments with sequins and pearls.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's Say It In Style. I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and arranged them around the sentiment, popping up a few with foam tape.

Next up is a tag for the Tag You're It #53 challenge. The inspiration tag is by Michele Furguson and I pretty much copied and stole everything from her tag! My tag features stamps and sentiment from the Color Layering For You Flowers by Hero Arts.
To add texture to the background I applied Texture Paste over Tim Holtz Flourish Stencil. The sentiment is also from the same Hero Arts set, heat embossed with WOW Silver EP..
