Hello, friends. A quick post to share a couple of cards I made over the weekend.
First up is a fun Halloween card. I bought Lawn Fawn's Critters in Costume stamps and coordinating dies last year but never really used them to make Halloween cards... until now. I masked the moon and inked up the background with Distress Inks: Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Then I sprayed water on the background and and blotted it with a paper towel. I coloured the moon with Scattered Straw mixed with Perfect Pearl powder and heat embossed the punny sentiment in white.
I made a couple of slits in the treat bag and stuffed it with candy. Here you have a couple of buddies sharing the loot after a successful night of Trick or Treat-ing. They look very pleased!

Next up is something different for Tag You're It #54. Instead of a tag, I made a tag on a card. The Featured Artist this fortnight is Michele Short of The Card Grotto - awesome designer. I love her clean and elegant style... and making a tag inspired by Michele's was a Herculean challenge for me. I decided on Michele's splodgy background, floral theme and sentiment for my project. I prepared the background, stamped the poppies from Clearly Besotted's Remember (unfortunately retired) and cut part of the flowers with Clearly Besotted's Scalloped Tag die. The sentiment is from MFT's Grateful For You stamp & die set.
I layered the cut-out tag with a couple of more die-cuts and popped it over the negative space up with foam tape. To finish, I added Lawn Fawn's Sweetheart cord.
