Yes, my friends, it's Saturday... again! It's becoming a habit now for the girls at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown to put their Christmas makes on display. This week, our spirited hostess Gill Prescott is serving up some "Mistletoe and Wine"... oh so quintessentially festive! Here's my take on this week's theme. I couldn't get my hands on some mistletoe but there was no shortage of wine ... hic!
The two Chocolate Baroque stamps sets featured in this card are:
Pears and Baubles A4 sheet and Christmas Magic clear stamps.

No patterned papers. Instead, I embossed some red CS with the Swiss Dots EF and used that as my background. The mistletoe, pear and sentiment are from the Pears & Baubles set. I coloured the mistletoe with Promarkers (Holly, Pine, Lush Green, Leaf Green). The sentiment is embossed in white. Pretty much a CAS card.

I embossed the pear in gold and inked it with TH Peeled Paint.

On the inside, more mistletoe and a sentiment from the Christmas Magic set, stamped in Memento Rhubarb Stalk.

I just had to include a little video of this much loved Christmas song made popular by Sir Cliff Richard, which was released in 1988. This song also happens to be his only #1 hit in the '80s. In case you're wondering, the soloist at the end of the song is 13-year old James Rainbird. Who? He performed the Welsh lullaby "Suo Gân" in Steven Spielberg's "Empire Of The Sun". That's enough trivia for today :-)
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the weekend, my friends!
Beijinhos!
