Card Chain Challenge: June 2017

Good day, friends. This is a long overdue post from me. It's been a hectic couple of weeks for all sorts of reasons. The wacky weather isn't helping either. Enough moaning and groaning.

This is a card I made for the Card Chain Challenge which is now hosted by Gail in Norway. For the June 2017 Card Chain Challenge I made a card for Lorraine in the UK using Altenew Stamps based on this colour swatch and product:

+
GLITTER

The stamps for this card came from Altenew's Garden Treasure set and the inks are by Lawn Fawn. I background is a piece of watercolour paper splattered with watered down Distress Inks. The colours are not a precise match to the swatch but they are sort of, almost in the general ballpark. The sentiment is cut on black card using MFT Die-namics Thanks which I smothered with Black Stickles.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves before adhering them to the background panel with foam tape. The no card of mine would be complete without some glitter!

I really have to dash. Thank you so very much for stopping by and for your support. Have a beautiful day, friends.

Floral Hugs

Hello, friends! Another long overdue post from me. I'm working away from home this week ... and dropping all my balls! :) Clearly, juggling is not my thing.

This is a card I made for the Card Chain Challenge which is now hosted by Gail in Norway. For the September Card Chain Challenge I made a card for Robyn in Australia using Altenew stamps based on this colour swatch:

The stamps for this card came from Altnew's Vintage Flowers set. The inks are a mix of Ranger Dye inks, Ranger Archival inks and Lawn Fawn inks. I honestly cannot remember what I used as I made this made a couple of months ago and, very cleverly, failed to make of not of the ingredients.

I heat embossed the a greeting by Clearly Besotted Say It In Stye (retired) onto a piece of velum and laced it between the flowers. The red blings are probably unnecessary but hey ... keeping it CAS means nothing to me! LOL
Challenges:
CASE This Sketch #194
Crafting By Design Oct 12: Add A Sentiment
Word Art Wednesday #252 & 253: AG Inspirational
Creative Knockout #163: AG
Time Out #68: CASE Ardyth - colours and flowers

I really have to dash. Thank you so very much for stopping by and for your support. Have a beautiful day, friends!

Thank You, Friend!

Well hello, friends. I just realised that I have a couple of projects for Card Chain Challenge that I made and completely forgot to show you. I blame a combination of heat, old age and ... well, I'm sure there are a dozen different reasons. So, let's get down to business, shall we?

May Card Chain Challenge:
I used LF Critters In The Dog Park to make a shaker card for Janet in Mauritius.

June Card Chain Challenge:
I used Hero Arts Colour Layering For You Flowers stamps to make a thank you card for Stacy in Nevada. I used LF Stitched Rectangle die to cut out the background patterned paper.

I loved this design so much that I made another for a dear friend and it looks like this. I heat embossed the greeting in with WOW Rich Gold EP and cut it out with a Spellbinder die.

Here's a closer-up of those lovely flowers:
Challenges:
Craft For Craic July: Summer Breeze
Stamplorations July Sketch
Cut It Up #100: AG + Die Cut

I have a busy weekend of chores... laundry, ironing and don't even get me started on the garden! The fruit bats are eating my figs, the lemons are all ripening at the same time and the baby pomegranates don't seem to be growing at all!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're doing something fun this weekend.

Eclectic Ellapu May

Welcome to another Eclectic Ellapu challenge. For the month of May, the theme is everyone's favourite: ANYTHING GOES. That's right - let your creativity soar and make whatever project you fancy.

This is also the card I sent to Jutta M in BC, Canada for the April 2016 Card Chain Challenge. I made my card based on the theme - Friendship. The stamps and sentiment are from Friends Forever by Clearly Besotted. Still working on my CAS design - a painfully slow process for me - I kept this card as simple as possible. Watercolour, a few sequins and some Orchid Lawn Trimming by LF.

I heat embossed the image in white before water colouring. There's also a pale blue wash for the background.

Anyways, Eclectic is having a DT Call and we are looking for talented crafters, preferably with sharp mental faculties and the abilities to remember dates and times. :) If you are interested in joining the team, the details are --> HERE. My second card is also inspired my Valentine's Day, but this one is quite the opposite - it's CAS and masculine. I know! It's unprecedented! The background paper is from Papermania's Linen Capsule Collection. I stamped the woodgrain panel with Lawn Fawn's Woodgrain Backdrop and VersaFine Toffee ink on light kraft cardstock. This piece is hangs a little over the card base, mounted on foam tape. The Scripty Love and Hearts are also dies by Lawn Fawn.

The Scripty Love is inlaid into the woodgrain panel. I gave the little hearts with several coats with the Red Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush Tip Pen and smothered them with Ranger Glossy Accent.

Christmas Cheer

Hello friends! Another quick card from me. I made this for the November Card Chain Challenge.  My card went to Christi C in Colorado. This is one of my mass production cards using Clearly Besotted's Christmas Cheer stamps and coordinating dies. I inked the background with Antique Linen Distress Ink for a soft glow, added few tiny blobs of Silver  Liquid Pearls and finished the card with some festive Doodlebug Twine.

Here's a closer look at the die cuts. These are the older solid dies so the MISTI came in handy to get the stamping in place. I used Rock Candy Distress Glitter to trim the stocking and Diamond Stickles to add some sparkle to the flames, on which I used the kissing technique with Memento Tangelo and Memento Cantaloupe for a more realistic look. For the stone fireplace I used Memento London Fog and propped it up on some foam tape. And of course there's Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter ... just about everywhere!

Supplies

Just a few more days before Christmas and it's all hands on deck at our home. The final cleaning and dusting will have to wait. I usually leave it till the last possible day so on Christmas day the house will be at it's cleanest - for a few hours, anyway..

Last night, I rearranged our tree again, much to Richard Parker's dismay! He fancies himself a tree decorating expert and is extremely proud of his handiwork ... which, I hasten to add, is not to everyone's taste! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you're having a super time with your furry helpers too.  :)
