ATSM #371: Anything Goes

Hello again and welcome to another challenge over at Addicted To Stamps and More. This week the theme is an easy one - Anything Goes. Absolutely no excuse not to play along!

Here's my card using Altenew's Lotus stamp. I know we're a fortnight away from Christmas but I wanted to make something quite different. Besides, this is the season when most of us could do with some inner zen and lots of love! I heat embossed the sentiment in gold. (It's an old set by Waltzing Mouse called Say It Loud - Winter Holiday)

Now it's your turn to link up your project for the Anything Goes challenge. You can make anything you like. I look forward to seeing your projects.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have fun with this challenge.

Tuesday Throwdown #446: Anything Goes

Good morning, friends! Time for another new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown and this fortnight we are having fun with "Anything Goes" - everyone's favourite theme!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Power Poppy and this beautiful image called Partridge in a Pear Tree. I've used red and gold to matt the image and finish the card with some twine.

Here's a close-up of the partridge. I used Faber Castell Polychromos to colour the image and finished it with Stickles, Glossy Accent and sprinkles of white paint. I didn't want to fuss too much with the image.

Now it's your turn to create a project based on this week's theme: "Anything Goes". For ideas and inspiration, take a peek at what the rest of the DT members have made. Remember to link up your project at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog by 3pm Pacific / 11pm UK on Monday, December 16th. And the most important requirement: Have Fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

ATSM #367: Make Your Mark

Hello again, friends! Time for another challenge over at Addicted To Stamps and More. This week we are playing Make Your Mark. For this challenge, you can create anything you like as long as you use something to make a mark. Feel free to use pencils, pens, markers, chalks, crayons, paints, stains, inks ... whatever takes your fancy.

Here's my card using Power Poppy's Layer Cake, coloured with Faber Castell Polychromos. I finished the card with a ribbon by the side. I have practically stopped using ribbons on cards because they are a bother to mail, but this card was hand-delivered so I decided to live dangerously and stick a knot on it... the card, I mean!

Now it's your turn to link up your project for the Make Your Mark challenge. There are so many colouring media to choose from. I look forward to seeing your projects.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have fun with this challenge.

ATSM #365: Photo Inspiration

Hello again, friends! Time for another challenge over at Addicted To Stamps and More. This week the theme is Photo Inspiration. All you have to do is create a project inspired by this fun and vibrant photo. You can pick the colours, elements, textures etc. There's no right or wrong answer.

Looking at the photo, it's hard not to make a Halloween project. And so I went with the flow and made a cute but spooky Halloween card using some old stamps from my stash: Waltzing Mouse's Gracie at Halloween and Hocus Pocus.

From the photo, I picked the little witch, black cat and night sky, and incorporated these into my card.

To create the background I blended Distress Inks and used little drops of silver acrylic paint to make the stars. Not too shabby for a Halloween card, I dare say.

Here is Gracie whizzing about on her broomstick:

Here's a closer look at the image. I coloured it with Faber-Castell Polychromo pencils.

Now it's your turn to link up your project to the Photo Inspiration challenge. Don't forget to let us know what elements from the photo inspired you.

Thanks for stopping by and have fun with this challenge... Happy Halloween!

Power Poppy: A Bite Out Of Life

Good morning! I can't remember the last time I actually made a card to enter a challenge. Nowadays, my crafting is limited to design team needs... but it's nice to slowly rediscover the joys of crafting just for the love of it.

What better way to embark that to use digis by my fave company, Power Poppy, in my fave season - autumn! So, for Power Poppy's Card Making Day Fall Theme Challenge using the newly released All Things Apples.

Here's a closer look. I coloured the image with Faber Castell's Polychromos and finished the card with some twine. I'm craving a slice of that pie!

Let's face it - it's hard not to drift into a nautical-themed project. So I picked the colours, shells and sand to create a friendship card. Power Poppy's Seaside Sweetness seemed to capture all that I wanted in the card. All I needed to do is add some Nuvo Pearls and Twine.
