Happily Ever After

Hello September! We're in the final ⅓ of the year and soon vacations and lazy summer afternoons sipping long cool adult drinks will be well and truly behind us. I thought I should start September with something pretty (... hopefully you think it's pretty too!)

August ended on a high note for us with the wedding of a couple of good friends. It took place in one of the largest and grandest cathedrals in Portugal. The reception was held in the grounds of a beautiful manor house. The weather was fabulous and, most importantly, the Bride and Groom completely stole the show!

Here's the card I made for them, featuring Vintage Flowers by Altenew. For the layered stamping I used inks by Lawn Fawn and Ranger. Then I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and arranged them around the sentiment.

The  sentiment is by Clearly Besotted from their (sadly) discontinued set called Fairy Tale Ending. I stamped it with VersaFine Deep Lagoon and added sequins and pearls to embellish the card.
Challenges:
Thank you for stopping by and let's hope September will be an amazing month for all.

Beijinhos!

  2. Congrats to your friends for their wedding! I'm sure that you worked hard to help them, and not only to make this amazing card! :D
However, this is a SUPER stylish card, and so romantic!!! How much work for these roses! I know that Althenew stamps are of new generation and so you have stamped so many layer for any rose, and then fussi cut all them! A lot of love and patience! But the result is really stunning, they seems true!! Gorgous sentiment and love the little sparkling details and the yellow tiny flowers!
September for me means return to school... so less craft and more stress LOL. But I love my work with kids, so hope to have a good year at school :)
    Hugs, have a lovely weekend

  6. This place is a very nice place for a wedding and worth looking into. While I didn't have my own wedding here, I've seen the wedding venues in all decked out glory. On a smaller scale, we had our prom there. This truly is a beautiful building with fabulous views.
