Tuesday Throwdown #297: Man's World

Good morning, friends! Time for a new challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown and with Father's Day coming up soon, the theme this week is "Man's World". Our sponsor for this challenge is Robyn's Fetish. Check out their online store for some adorable images.

My card project for this challenge features Jake In The Country. This country boy reminds me John-Boy from The Waltons. I grew up watching the Walton family ... those were the days. Anywho, I've layered this chap with papers by Basic Grey which remind me of an old quilt Grandma Esther might have stitched.

I coloured Jake with Graphi'It markers and added the clouds with a die-cut and Tumbled Glass ink.

Now it's your turn to create a project based on this week's theme: "Man's World". For ideas and inspiration, take a peek at what the rest of the DT members have made. Remember to link up your project at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog by 3pm Pacific / 11pm UK on Monday, June 13th.  And the most important requirement: Have Fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. The weather man says it's going to be a beautiful day here ... blue skies, sunshine and all that. I hope your day is the same.

  4. You always make me smile with your cute cards so lovely coloured, Asha!! And the colours you use for your designs are always perfect to match the images!! This is one of the so many exemples of your talent! Love very much this masculine card and the cute country boy with the sky full of light clouds and the vibrant grass! Your design looks adorable, so regular and clean and love the twine detail!
Thnks very much for your comments, you are always so generous with my tried, but I'm only a messy and impulsive crafter! :D I must learn making clean layers, following sketches, adding few things -only ones correct- in a card... I can surely learn from you and from some other talented blogger friends!
    Hugs, have a nice week

  7. After I commented about your card, I noticed your pet photos in the side bar. As an animal lover and owner of many pets I so understand the loss of each one and love your quotes for each one. {hugs} They do always stay with us. Each of your fur babies was beautiful.
