I stumbled upon (literally!) a very very old 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye and used some bits of scraps for the flowers, basket and bow. As for the itty bitty leaves - attempting to paper-piece those would have landed me in an asylum. They got the Copic treatment, instead. By dressing up the poinsettias in a non-festive outfit, we can use them all year 'round!

Remember to link up your project at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge Blog by 3pm Pacific / 11pm UK on Monday, February 8th. And the most important requirement: Have Fun!

ReplyDeleteHello wonderful Asha! Hanging my head in shame at being so behind in commenting; life’s been supremely hectic, what with work, travel (which involved work…crazy amounts!), DT commitments (which I’ve fallen behind in, too) and a plethora of other stuff! I hope that my ‘thought bubbles of love’ for all your cards have reached you, because I send them frequently! Starting with a fresh slate with a goal to staying caught up…Your basket of polka dot flowers has me wearing a bright smile. Paper-piecing extraordinaire!

Not only is paper piecing fun, but it adds a wow factor to an image and it's a grist way to use scraps (I've got tons). Beautiful result achieved and the ribbon in the corner is a nice touch too.
