Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #16

A new Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge has started and once again we've a collection of gorgeous colours for you to use in your projects. If you haven't played yet, now's the time to do so. These colours are versatile and will work for any occasion... even Christmas!

You can use any medium to create your projects: paints, inks, pencils, pens, stains, etc., as long as you stick to the colours from the colour swatch, using as much or as little of each colour as you wish.  You don't have to use Chocolate Baroque stamps to play along but if you do you will be entered into a random draw to win £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps. All participants will have a chance to be on the Design Team's Top Three list and proudly display winner's badge on their blog.

I'm taking a break from making Christmas cards (yes... I hear your sigh of relief!) to bring you a birthday card. A sweet and simple card, featuring the large rose from the Briar Rose Butterfly sheet. The greeting is from the Birthday Words sheet, stamped with VersaFine Imperial Purple. To create a soft glow around the image, I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, building the colours very slowly, keeping it soft and light in the middle. To finish, a few tiny droplets of Baby Blue Liquid Pearl.

Here's a closer look at the Briar Rose. I stamped the image with VersaFine Onyx Black and coloured it with Faber-Castell Polychromos. With a few strokes with the Wink of Stella Clear Brush, I gave the roses and the butterflies a soft dewy finish.

Challenge #15 will close at 12.00 p.m. (UK) on Tuesday 17th November 2015, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 25th November 2015. I hope you'll play along and run the risk of winning £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Before I dash off, here's a tag I made for Tracey's 12 Tags of Christmas challenge. Tracey makes the most wonderful tags. This year I decided to play along. Here's my take on Day 3 sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.  I was inspired by the adorable snowman on Tracey's tag. For my tag, I'm using stamps and dies by Clearly Besotted. I coloured the image with Faber Castell Polychromos, slapped on Wink of Stella Clear Brush and inked around the tag with Aged Mahogany DI.

Thank you for stopping by today. It's a dull, gloomy, wet, wet, wet day week so far. Hope the sun is shining brightly where you are.
