CASE-ing Christmas: November

Hello, friends! Welcome back to a another month of  CASE-ing Christmas Challenge! As you are aware, we are now a MONTHLY challenge and our challenge will run from the 5th of each month at 6:00am CST until the last day of the month at 11:55pm CST.

Each month, we will be celebrating CHRISTMAS on the 25th by doing a random giveaway to one lucky participant! We will have a variety of prizes to give out, but you MUST be linked up by the 23rd of each month in order to be entered into the drawing! :)

As before, we'll give you a card to CASE and you CASE it! If you've never CASEd a card, here's what you need to do:
  • Look at the CASE card photo.
  • Be inspired by some element of the card. This could be colours, layout, image, etc.
  • Make a card based on that inspiration and link it up at the CASE-ing Christmas Challenge Blog by 11:55pm CST 30 November 2015.
Let's kick off our challenge by showing you the card to CASE for the month of November. This month you'll be CASE-ing  Donna and she made this beautiful and elegant CAS card. Anything CAS is a real challenge for me!

Here's my spin on Donna's card. I pretty much stuck to her original design - snow slopes, split level background, trees, bow and even the colours were not spared! In for a penny, in for a pound... as the saying goes! :) My card features all things Clearly Besotted - stamps and coordinating dies. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's large Signature Christmas set. Sadly this set has been retired but you can still get the Signature Christmas Additions set and dies in the store.  These are stamped with VersaFine Crimson Red. I used foam tapes to add dimension to the various layers.

The stars are stamped with ColorBox Silver ink, Memento Northern Pine for the trees and Rich Cocoa for the trunks. I inked the edges of the slopes with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and added tons (and I mean TONS) of Stardust Stickles the slopes and Crystal Stickles on the trees.

Before I dash off, here's a tag I made for Tracey's 12 Tags of Christmas challenge. Tracey makes the most wonderful tags. This year I decided to play along. Tracey is on day 4 today. A little late off the the starting blocks but I have every intention to play along and make 25. (Yes, very ambitious of me!) Here's my take on Day 1 sponsored by Avery Elle.  I was inspired by the snowy background and red tag on Lindsay Amrhein's tag.  I'm using Clearly Besotted stamps and coordinating dies to make my tags. I'm also adding this to HLS Christmas Tags challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a magical day!

Beijinhos!

  8. Asha, I love those trees. I had to do a double-take when I read that they were stamped with Rich Cocoa ... the illusion is that they are green and not brown. You can NEVER have too much glitz for me. Lovely, lovely card.

The tags are just adorable. Love the penguin and his many colorful hats.

    Blessings,
    Belinda
