Brighter Days

Hello, friends. I made a CAS card! Not an accident, but a deliberate act that took me hours complete. I know it is supposed to be simple, but I wrestle with the beast called CAS and usually end up bruised and demoralised. Yesterday, I entered the ring again and... survived!

I'm using Clearly Besotted April Showers stamps and coordinating die. For the umbrella I used Memento Bamboo Leaves and Rich Cocoa. For the rain drops I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. The sentiment is also from April Showers, stamped on to a die-cut label also by Clearly Besotted.

I circular embossed panel is a left-over bit from another card.... which you will see next week. I inked it up with Peacock Feathers and adhered the centre piece on to the card base with foam tape.

I'm off to bed now...it's frightfully late. We have a full day tomorrow: Church, lunch... and a concert in the evening. Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful Sunday.

Beijinhos!

  1. This is so pretty-love the colours and the textures! We had a very rainy weekend last weekend. Today was supposed to be rainy but we had hardly anything. Thankfully much cooler weather. I love the swirly parts on the lettering:)

  11. I've been away on holiday and I've just finished looking through the cards you've made while I was away. Loved Peanut. And such a gorgeous shabby chic card.
And then you've gone totally CAS! Well done, they're not as easy and quick to make as they look like, I totally agree. But it turned out great!

  22. Yes, bruised and demoralized captures some of our crafting attempts to a "t"...that's how I feel when I try water-colouring! Grrr....You survived round two wonderfully: such a pretty umbrella and your translation of rain is brilliant! I think you've emerged a CAS-winner!
