Eclectic Ellapu August: By The Sea

Hello, friends! It's the first day of August and time for another month-long challenge over at  Eclectic Ellapu.  Thank you so much for playing along with us last month. So many gorgeous entries! I hope you'll join us again this month.

As always the 2 teams - Pinks and Purples - are playing together, but they have own themes. The Pinkies are going places with a "By The Sea " theme and the Purplies are having fun with "3-2-1 Card Recipe".

In a couple of months summer will give way to autumn. I wanted to make a card to capture the things I like most about summer - sunshine, sea, sand and sangria... not necessarily in that order. My card features this fabulous scene. It's a stamp from Chocolate Baroque's Seashore Scenes A5 stamp sheet.

I'm keeping it super simple by layering the image on some blue card and adhering it on the card base. The sentiment is also from Seashore Scenes, stamped with VersaFine Deep Lagoon.

Here's a close-up of the image. I stamped it with VersaFine Smokey Grey and coloured it with Faber-Castell Polychromos colour pencils.

Sweet Stampin': Bon Voyage

Now it's your turn to create and link up your labour of love over at the Eclectic Ellapu Challenge Blog. Remember, we have 2 concurrent challenges: "By The Sea" for the Pink Team and "3-2-1 Recipe" for the Purple Team. You can enter one or both challenges as many times as you wish, but make sure you link up your projects by 11:59pm UK on 31st August 2015.

Thank you for stopping by today. Here's to a fabulous month of August!

  18. Hi Asha, so good to have a sweet comment from you. I love this serene ocean scene. That is some fan-tabulous coloring with the polys. The smoky gray stamping allowed the pretty colors of the pencils to take center stage, and I really liked this look. Works so nicely with the rich look of the blues on the mat & sentiment. Can almost feel that hot sun. TFS & Have a great week.
