Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #12

A new Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge has started and we're kicking off this monthly meet-up with another collection of gorgeous colours. If you haven't played yet, now's the time to do so. These colours are gorgeous and will work for any occasion.

You can use any medium to create your projects: paints, inks, pencils, pens, stains, etc., as long as you keep to the colours from the colour swatch. You don't have to use Chocolate Baroque stamps to play along but if you do you will be entered into a random draw to win £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps. All participants will have a chance to be on the Design Team's Top Three list and proudly display winner's badge on their blog.

When I made my card, I did not have anyone in mind. But these soft breezy summery colours would suit anyone. Throw in an encouraging message and I knew this card wouldn't be unemployed for long. True enough, it's on its way across the waters to someone who truly deserves it.

With new stamps to play with we often neglect out older ones. This week I went back in time and brought out Chocolate Baroque's Summer Fairy Collection from last year. This kneeling fairy is from the August Fairy DL sheet. I stamped the image with Memento Espresso Truffle - its softer than Tuxedo Black - and just for the leafy bits a little Memento Bamboo Leaves. I inked up the background with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. For a magic in the sky I stamped the dandelion fluff (at least I think that's what it is) from the current release, Seasonal Fragments with VersaMagic Sea Breeze. The sentiment is from the Words Of Comfort and Cheer A5 sheet, stamped with Memento Morocco. To finish the card, a few tiny bling in the sky.

Here's a close up of the fairy. I coloured her with Graph'It Alcohol Markers and and slapped on lots of Stardust Stickles for her wings.

Challenge #12 will close at 12.00 p.m. (UK) on Tuesday 14th July 2015, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 22nd July 2015. I hope you'll play along and run the risk of winning £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Well, it's 8 weeks today since Rosie left. It's a slow process but I'll get there. She was larger than life and always will be.

Thank you for stopping by today. The weather man says it will be a scorcher. Hah! We'll see. He usually gets it wrong. Maybe today is his day :) Enjoy the sun, friends!

  8. I love this fairy image-she is just enjoying the day. I also love the way your coloured her and the mushrooms so beautifully. It is truly magical. I am thinking of you and I knew it must have been close to 2 months since Rosie went to heaven. It is tough and one must deal with a loss in their own way. Always here for you:)
