CASE-ing Christmas #26: Donna

Welcome to CASE-ing Christmas! This is a weekly challenge devoted to the holiday season all year 'round and today we're starting Challenge #26.

Here's how you play along. Each week you'll be given you a card to CASE and ... you CASE it! It's as easy as that. If you've never CASEd a card before, here's how you do it:
  • Look at the photo of the card to CASE;
  • Be inspired by some elements of the card - the colours, layout, image, embellishments, etc
  • Make a card based on that inspiration and link it up at CASE-ing Christmas Challenge Blog by Noon (Central) / 6pm (UK) on Thursday,  2nd July 2015

And that's all there is to it. Our CASE card this week is this gorgeous creation by Donna Nuce - the Crafty Colonel. Lots of ideas here and I can't wait to see how this project inspires you.

I was inspired by the colours, snowflakes and the bold greeting. And just so I would look like a copy cat, I gave it my own spin and came up with this simple number:

I've used Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Holiday Knit and Ranger Texture Paste to create the background. For colour, I tinted the Texture Paste with Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean. The greeting is from Clearly Besotted's Ornamental Style, stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black onto a piece of vellum. To finish, a few bling... it would have been wrong not to!

Challenges:
Jingle Belles: 12 Days Of Cardstock
Less Is More #229: Stencilling
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday: AG
CHNC #234: Merry and Bright
Crafting By Design: Get Ready For Christmas
Fab & Funky #265: Christmas

Supplies:

Now it's your turn to make a Christmas card by CASE-ing Donna's creation. You'll find more ideas over at the challenge blog.

Thanks for dropping by and Happy CASE-ing. I'm looking forward to seeing your take on Donna's card. Have a fabulous Friday, friends.

Beijinhos!
