Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge #6

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE

So here we are, my friends! It's the last day of the year and I have one more card to share with you.

The colours are from Chocolate Baroque's Colour Challenge #6 and we're on week 3 of this monthly meet-up. If you haven't played yet, now's the time to do so. The colours are super gorgeous and will work for any occasion. You can use any medium to create your projects: paints, inks, pencils, pens, stains, etc., as long as you keep to the colours from the colour swatch.

You don't have to use Chocolate Baroque stamps to play along but if you do you will be entered into a random draw to win £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps. All participants will have a chance to be on the Design Team's Top Three list and proudly display winner's badge on their blog.

This card is going to a very special friend, a fellow cat-lover. It was also inspired by our fun-loving, tree-climbing, feline furbaby - Richard Parker.

I'm using one of Chocolate Baroque's older stamps called Swirly Pets and as the name suggests, its' all about pets - dog, cat, rabbit and even a little rodent. A must have set for animal lovers! I've used Distresses Inks to make the background: Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive, Evergreen Bough and Seedless Preserve.

The greeting is from Birthday Words stamped with VersaMagic Perfect Plumeria, and for texture a few droplets of Hydrangea Liquid Pearls.

Here's a look at the card. I finished the project with some green ribbon, green & purple eyelets and some stitching. These are the stamps used in my project.

The challenge will close at 12.00 p.m. (UK) on Tuesday 20th January 2015, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 28th January 2015. What a lovely New Year's gift that would be! I hope you'll play along and run the risk of winning £15 to spend on Chocolate Baroque stamps. Are you game?

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a beautiful time with family and friends and ring in the New Year with much love and joy.

I also want to thank you for your valued friendship and support. It hasn't been an easy year and I'm sure there are many who feel the same way. And although things didn't always go exactly has I had wanted, I'm just thankful we made through together and in one piece. That, in itself, is a Blessing!

See y'all next year ... and let's make it better one. I'll leave you with a picture of our Richard Parker. He has a penchant for decorating and redecorating our Christmas tree. He is a work in progress.... as is our tree! Let's see what he has in store for us tomorrow! :)
