52 {C}CT August Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the first of our August instalments of 52{Christmas}Card Throwdown. We're back to our regular program, i,e. it's time for a sketch challenge. Our hostess for the month is the super talented Gill Prescott. Before we get on with the challenge, here's a little update on our July Blog Hop.

Blog Hop Update:
There were so many gorgeous entries and comments on my blog. After several failed attempts I've finally managed to make a short-list. I'm giving away a Gift Voucher worth £10 to ONE lucky person to spend at my favourite stamp company: Chocolate Baroque. The identity of the winner will be announced at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown at Noon (GMT) on Wednesday, 6th August 2014. Make you to keep at eye out ..... it could be YOU!

On to this week's sketch challenge. I made a masculine card using Chocolate Baroque's latest Christmas rubber stamps. The stag is from the A5 sheet called: Snowy Scenes and the greeting is from the Christmas Magic set.

Here's my offering:
The patterned papers are from Papermania's Christmas In The Country. Simple
embellies - twine and bling - and the card is done!

I coloured the stag with Graph'It markers:
Head & Neck - Mocha, Espresso, Cigar, Havana, Sahara, Cream.
Antlers - Cacao, Chocolate, Cognac.  Bell - Carrot, Mango.
Inked the edges with TH Bundled Sage.

On the inside we have a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque's Warm Christmas Greetings.
My stag is all dressed up for these challenges:

Completely Christmas #23: AG Christmas
Southern Girls Challenge: Christmas Is A Coming

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's sketch. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge sketch and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm GMT / 1pm EST on Friday, August 8th. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!
