52 {C}CT May Sketch Challenge

Can you believe it's May already? The super talented Ruth Muzeen of Flower Sparkle is our new challenge hostess. We also have Judy V of Created Just for U joining us as Guest Designer of the month. Judy is a frequent participant (and winner!) over at 52 {Christmas}Card Throwdown and her work has been nothing short of awesome.

As always, our first challenge of the month is a Sketch Challenge. Create a card using this sketch - you can rotate it, flip it, make it rectangular, round - let your creativity soar as long as the layout is obvious.

Here's my vintage inspired offering for this challenge.

I gave the sketch a 90º turn. The papers are by Kaiser Craft.
I dabbed TH's Antique Linen all over the papers to age it up.

The image is from Chocolate Baroque's Stained Glass set, coloured
with Promarkers. I inked the edges with TH's Vintage Photo. For
embellishments: 3 large red bling and a few tiny ones on the image.
(Can you spot them?!) The greeting is also from the same set, stamped
with Memento Rhubarb Stalk.

On the inside, a greeting from Chocolate Baroque's
Warm Christmas Greetings, stamped with VersaMagic Tea Leaf.

Just a few challenges for this card:

Brown Sugar #92: Use 2 Patterned Papers
Fab N Funky #214: Christmas
Jingle Belles: All Bundled Up In 3 Or More Layers
CHNC Extra May: AG Christmas
Christmas Card Challenges #22: AG Christmas
Completely Christmas #10: AG Christmas

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's challenge: Sketch. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge sketch and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm GMT / 1pm EST on Friday, 9th May. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!

Our guests have left and now it's time to tidy the house (I gave myself a break from the daily chores too ... any ol' excuse not to do the ironing!) and catch up on blog visits. I have seriously neglected my bloggy mates ... blame those wonderful people from sunny Shipston - ha ha! Tell you what I'm not looking forward to ... Monday... urgh!

Thanks for stopping by and have a restful weekend, my friends!

Beijinhos!
