52 {C}CT May Pick-A-Previous Challenge

Hello friends! It's the last day of May and the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown gang have managed to squeeze in one last challenge for the month. It is also the last chance for the lovely Ruth of Flower Sparkle to crack her festive whip. Oh but she's being very gentle this time in allowing us to Pick-A-Previous Sketch. Head on over to the 52 {C}CT Sketch Archive, pick any one of our previous sketches and create! How easy is that?!

We have the lovely Judy V of Created Just 4 U! showcasing her stunning creations for the last time this month. It's been a pleasure having Judy with is this month!  Please stop by and take a look at her card.

I'm going back into the annals history with a sketch from January 2012. It's a simple card, with clean lines, military look and minimum embellishments ... perfect for a man!

The papers are from BoBunny Mistletoe Collection. The image and
sentiment are from WMS Nutcracker Sweet.

I made a window for the little soldier.

Here he is standing tall and proud. I coloured him him Graph'It (skin and boots)
and Promarkers (everything else)

My card is marching off to these challenges:

Word Art Wednesday #134: AG Uplifting
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long #13: AG Christmas
CHNC Extra May: AG Christmas
Completely Christmas #14: AG Christmas

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's Pick-A-Previous challenge: Sketch. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge sketch and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm GMT / 1pm EST on Friday, 6th June. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!

Rosie's Update: We've had a couple of setbacks.... Rosie's chest X-rays showed a mass in her lung and the results are in: it's malignant. Also, the veterinary surgeon has confirmed that the tumour in her inner ear is definitely inoperable, consequently the chemo-implant is also off the table. That leaves us with conventional chemotherapy. Oh well, we've got to play the hand we're dealt. Rosie's a trooper, she always has been. And I'm going to stand along side and fight with her. We may not be able to beat this cancer but we're going out with all guns blazing. Wish us luck!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Beijinhos!

  24. A great card and I like how you perfectly placed Mr. Nutcracker in the window. Love his colouring too. I am so sorry to hear about Rosie and it is so difficult for you and your family. Rosie gives hugs and eats and sleeps but you are the mom who worries for her. Your love for her will see her through all this ordeal and this is one lucky dog (I'm sorry I did not see this sooner-my 50th today and my hubby made a big to do for me on the weekend so I am just catching up now). Hugs
