Eclectic Ellapu: Feeling Fruity

Happy Sunday, my friends. Here is my third post in as many days and this time I'm wearing my Eclectic Ellapu hat to introduce you to 2 new challenges that have started over at the Eclectic Ellapu Blog. Once again, the 2 teams - Pinks and Purples - are playing together in perfect harmony. And to make sure we don't break our toys in fits of tantrum, each team has its very own theme.

The Pinks are "Feeling Fruity" and the Purples are singing "Happy Birthday". Both challenges will run for 3 weeks and you can enter one or both  challenges as many times as you like.

I'm on the Pink Team and made 3 fruity thank you cards using these stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted:
Background - Geometric Style
Fruits and sentiments - Fruitilicious and coordinating dies
Tag - Scalloped Tag die

For the embellishments: Doodlebug Twine and some bling.

Here are the cards:
The cards measure 4.5" x 3.5". No pattered papers and each card is fruitily different.

TH Festive Berries for the strawberries and TH Peeled Paint for the
  leafy bits and background.

VersaColor Pink and Tropical Green for the melon and TH Spun Sugar
for the background.

Memento Rhubarb Stalk and TH Shabby Shutters for the cherries and
TH Aged Mahogany for the background.

And here's the family portrait.

Some challenges:

CAS-ual Fridays #131: Three Thirds - 3 bling, 3 strawberries

Now it's your turn to create and link up your labour of love over at the Eclectic Ellapu Challenge Blog. Remember, we have 2 concurrent challenges: "Feeling Fruity" for the Pink Team and "Happy Birthday" for the Purple Team. This challenge will run for 3 weeks and you have until 11:59pm GMT on May 17th.

We're having a wonderful time with our friends. The weather wasn't brilliant yesterday but today is supposed to be gloriously sunny and warm. As always, the boys ate and drank more than they should have done and will probably spend most of the day feeling sorry for themselves. Helen and I are off to have an elegant afternoon in each other's company.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my friends!

Beijinhos!

  15. This is sweet!! PTI has a sweet set including some sentiments that say "Scratch and Sniff" LOL There is a recipe on their site of things you can add to embossing powder (like Jello) to add a fruity smell to your berry stamps : ) This set would be cute for that "technique"

Glad to hear you are enjoying your company! Have a wonderful day!!
