Christmas Card Club #9: Black & White + One Other Colour

Time for another Christmas Card Club fest, hosted by the our super talented Karen P. Her theme of choice is "Black, White and One Other Colour". What better "plus one" than GOLD on a Christmas Card! Here's what I made:

Just 3 colours, but I think this card really screams Christmas ... in a sophisticated way, I hope!
The black polkadot paper is from Papermania's Liquorice Sherbet pad.

I stamped the star on some black CS and heat embossed it in gold and for the greeting
I used VersaFine Onyx Black. And all of these are from WMS Seasons of Love.
Spot the bling!

Here's a full frontal that will not make you blush! I popped the star over a piece of
gold embossed vellum held down by 4 gold brads. Final flourish: a big sheer white bow

You know me... there's always something on the inside.

You'll see my star over at these challenges:

Christmas Card Challenges  #21: Ho Ho Ho or AG Christmas
4 Crafty Chicks #191: Embossing
Word Art Wednesday #129: AG Uplifting
Creative Knockouts: AG
Emergency Crafters: Polkadots
CHNC Extra April: AG Christmas

I'm posting my card early and not on Sunday, as the rest of the gang will be. It's a hectic weekend of back-to-back DT postings for me and I wanted to make sure the Christmas Card Club will not be missed. Here's a list of all the girls who will be showing off their festive makes on Sunday:

Karen P ... Maureen ... Margaret ... Carol ... Lizzie ... Hazel ... Karen B ... Sue P ... Sylvie ...
Sue J ... Zöe ... Christine ... Mary ... Lorraine C ... Rita ... Rachel ... Valery

That's all from me today. We're having a long weekend here in Portugal. Tomorrow is a holiday in honour of the Revolusão dos Cravos (Carnation Revolution), affectionately known as 25 de Abril. 25th April 1974 marks the end of half a century of Salazarian dictatorship and led to Portugal's withdrawal from its colonies in Africa and Asia. Forty years of Freedom and Democracy... that's a good reason to celebrate!

Thank you for stopping and have a lovely weekend, my friends.
