Christmas lights never fail to amaze me. Streets, shops, homes, trees ... everything looks so enchanting when its lit up and the mundane is transformed into something quite magical. From twinkling fairy lights to flickering candlelight, from brilliant stars scintillating in the winter sky to the faint glimmer of lamps and lanterns ... they remind us there is hope even in the darkest days of the year.
I'm dedicating this post to the memory of my little Snoopy. A year ago today, she became star shining brightly in the sky. I was told time will heal but I'm not yet convinced that old adage is true. This candle is for my forever-puppy.
No patterned papers on this card either. I used little snowflake stamps
to create the background with VersaColor Baby Blue and Silver.
For contrast, a few dots of Royal Blue and White Opal Liquid Pearls.
The stamp is from Chocolate Baroque's Stamp n Stitch. I stamped the
image with VersaFine Smokey Grey and coloured it with Windsor and
Newton watercolours. I added Stickles for some festive sparkle.
I layered the image and mounted the entire panel on some
On the inside I hung a couple of baubles from the CB's Hearth and Home.
The sentiment is from CB's Warm Christmas Greetings.
Some challenges for this card:
As You Like It: Favourite Style Of Stitching - Real because it adds texture to the project.
Before I go I want to leave you with a photo of my Snoops, taken on her last birthday with us. She was only a few months shy of her 9th birthday when she was so cruelly taken away from us.
Taken on July 8, 2012, Snoop's 8th birthday.
