52 {C}CT April Stash Challenge

Well lookie here! I made another Christmas card. Our hostess for the last time (sniff sniff) this month is the awesome Deborah Frings of Deborah's Gems and she's closing the April 52 Christmas Card Throwdown with a Stash Challenge. Deborah wants us to use "Glitter" on our festive projects. How easy is that! All you need is some sparkle to add a little magic to the season.

Sadly, we are also be saying goodbye to the lovely Pat Couder, our Guest Designer for April. Please stop by and take a look at her creation for the Stash Challenge. Pat has been a super guest and she is a frequent player. I have no doubt you'll continue to see her fabulous festive makes.

A snowy wintery scene gave me the perfect excuse to slap on the shiny stuff. Here's my finished project:

For the background, I stamped one of the little snowflakes from Chocolate Baroque's
Family Christmas with VersaMagic Cloud White onto some light grey CS.
For embellies: a few bling at the corners to frame the image.

The cottage scene is from Chocolate Baroque's Hearth and Home set, stamped
with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Promarkers. (The orangey hue
is actually sunlight pouring in from the window and unto my card

....  I'm not complaining LOL!)

Lashings of Stickles! I'm using Crystal, Stardust and Frosted Lace.

On the inside I used a greeting from Chocolate Baroque's Warm Christmas Greetings,
stamped withVersaColor Silver and a few snowflakes stamped with
VersaColor Baby Blue.

I'm setting up my winter cottage over at these challenges:

Christmas Card Challenges #21: Sleigh, Santa or AG Christmas
CHNC Extra April: AG Christmas
Brown Sugar #91: AG
Graph It Markers: Using Greys
Jingle Belles: Three or More Layers
Christmas Wonderland: No Sentiment
Completely Christmas #9: AG Christmas

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's challenge: Glitter. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge theme and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm GMT / 1pm EST on Friday, 2 May. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!

Thanks for stopping by today, my friends and enjoy the weekend. I hope it's sunny where you are. We've got some friends from England staying over for a few days and I won't be around much but I will pop in whenever I can.

Beijinhos!

  33. I love this wintry scene Asha, and I like the way you have kept the colouring simple and added interest with the stickles instead. The way you have mounted it makes it look like a painting in a frame, and the stitching round the edge is a great touch. Thank you so much for your lovely comments and for becoming a follower, I really appreciate it. x
