52 {C}CT April Sketch Challenge

Here we are folks - new month, new set of challenges AND a new hostess ... Deborah Frings! Our frequent players will already be familiar with her lovely creations. Deborah has lined up a few great challenges this month for 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. As always, we are starting it nice and easy with a sketch. All you have to do is turn it into a Christmas card.

I decided to go with a modern twist on trad colours. So in place of red and green, I'm using coral and lime. The side panel has printed greetings so I omitted the sentiment all together. And to be really rebellious, I pushed the image off the page. Not the kind of card Grandma Susie will appreciate!

The papers are from Papermania's Henbury Lane - Poinsettia
collection. It's an old one and probably out of print now.

The image is from Chocolate Baroque's Hearth and Home set.
I coloured it with Promarkers, added some red blind tied a green bow.
For cutting and layering I used SB's Oval and Scalloped Oval die.

The greeting is from Polka Doodles's Angelberry Christmas.

Going to stir things up at these challenges:

CHNC #171: Seeing Red ... A Little Or A Lot - just a few red bling
Completely Christmas #6: AG Christmas
CHNC Extra April: AG Christmas
CHNPPC April: AG covered with Patterned Paper
Sparkles Christmas Challenge #39: Inspired by Carol / Song - Light The Candles by Maria Delorio
Sister Act Card #51 - AG Cards Only

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's challenge: Sketch. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge theme and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm GMT / 1pm EST on Friday, 11 April. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!

Thanks for stopping by today, my friends and enjoy the weekend!

Beijinhos!
