Eclectic Ellapu #38: Flowers

Hello, there! It's time for another Eclectic Ellapu challenge and this week it's the Pink Team's turn to invite you to the playground. Our hostess, Kelly has chosen an easy one for you: "Flowers".

All you have to do is feature a flower, or as many as you like, on your project. You can use floral patterned papers, paper / ribbon / fabric flowers, stamped flowers, die-cut flowers....and the list goes on. As always, all projects are welcome... so you can really go to town with this one.

My floral project for this week takes the shape of a favour box. I made 80 of these little boxes for a friend, whose daughter is getting married at end of this month. (Started making these boxes in March. 80...what was I thinking, eh?!)

These boxes measure 3"x3" with an acetate window on the lid. The bride's colours are pink and cream. To decorate the top of lid, I used Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles and Scalloped Circles dies, inked with a little TH Vintage Photo. The floral arrangements for the day will be cream and pale pink roses. Sticking to these colours, I got these papers mulberry roses in bulk from our local craft store. And to finish, a green resin leaf and 3 pearls. 

Inside each card, will be the traditional sugared almonds and this signed note card by the bride and groom. The note cards measure 2-3/4" square. I stamped the sentiment and frame from WMS Fancy Phrases in Memento Rose Bud and Rich Cocoa and embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder. I also punched a floral border for the lid inked it with TH's Tattered Rose and to finish, some pale pink ribbon around side tied in a bow.
