Hello, crafty friends. Today I made a masculine birthday card for a sea-faring friend of ours. He's retired and together with his wife of 39 years they spend many happy hours on their boat enjoying the sun, sea and wind. When we grow up, we want to be just like them!
The papers are from a 6x6 pad called "For Men" by Wild Rose Studio. Since this is CAS my way, very few embellishments in action - just a few blue bling and twine.
The image is from Chocolate Baroque's Seashell Collage set. I embossed it in black EP and inked the sea and sky with TH's Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans. Then I cut and layered the image with Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles dies and adhered it to the card with some foam tape. The sentiment is also from the same set by CB, stamped with Memento Bermuda Blue.
On the inside I stamped a greeting from CB's Birthday Words set, again stamped with Memento Bermuda Blue.
The sketch for this card is from Tuesday Morning Sketches #205 (I turned it on its side); Bearlymine Challenges #93 "Anything Goes"; Cards Und More #85 "Travel / Adventure"; Crafty Sentiments "Red, White and Blue"; Word Art Wednesday #87 "Anything Goes with Inspirational Sentiment"; Color Throwdown #249 " Brilliant Blue, Poppy Parade, White and Bermuda Bay"; Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge "Red, White and Blue" and Come and Get It "Masculine Challenge".

And with that I want to wish all my American friends, followers and readers and a very happy Independence Day. Freedom and liberty - so precious and we are truly blessed to have both. For solidarity's sake, here in Portugal I'll bake an apple pie...or maybe an apple cake... maybe I'll just eat and apple... and wash it down with some Calvados ... or apple cider ... hic! Happy 4th y'all!
Thanks for stopping by.
Beijinhos!
