My Hero!

Welcome to a brand new Eclectic Ellapu Challenge. We had so many stunning entries with last week's "Anything Goes" we've decided to let it roll for another week. Yay!  That means you can make anything you fancy: any theme, sketch, layout or embellishment ... even altered art and link up with pride over at our challenge blog.

I made a masculine card for Mr C's close buddy who has recently taken up fishing and, according to his wife, this new hobby has not been terribly productive...so far. Of course he'd never admit to that and is convinced that very soon his family will be feasting on fresh fish. Personally I don't see it happening before tomorrow...  and that means I've got the perfect birthday card for him!

The patterned papers are from First Edition New Leaf 8x8 pad.

The image is a digi by Stitchy Bear Digi Stamps called "The Big One". I coloured him with SN markers. The greeting is from WMS  "Half Pint Heroes" set, stamped with Memento Espresso Truffle.

Since this is a masculine card, I held back on the embellies - just a couple of green brads and some green twine to finish the card.

Simple greeting on the inside.

I'm also playing along with : Moving Along With The Times "One For Guys" ; Dutch Dare #215 "Sports" ; Crafter's Companion May Challenge "Masculine" ; Delicious Doodles #34 "Something For The Boys" ; Our Creative Corner "Anything Goes" ; Paper Creator's Crafts #8 " For The Boys"  and Cards For Men #9 "Animals".

There you have it... a boy-card from me. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link up your projects over at the Eclectic Ellapu Challenge blog. Have a crafty week, my friends!

Beijinhos!

  6. I love this card! Perfect sentiment, too. My dad, who was an avid fisherman his entire life, always said, "It's the fishing that counts, not the catching." :-D When I was young, he would often take me fishing with him and that time we spent together ranks highest among my favorite memories.

  7. Such a fun male card! Look at that ridiculously small fish! But some stories later this fish might have grown into the size of a shark:)
