Golden Anniversary

Welcome to the Eclectic Ellapu Challenge #24 and we're celebrating Engagements, Weddings or Anniversaries. Our hostess this week is the lovely Clare, who just celebrated her anniversary yesterday on the 5th of April. Happy Anniversary Clare!

My contribution to the challenge is a gift box for a couple who will be celebrating 50 years of togetherness. Their wedding anniversary isn't until June, but since I've already got their gift I might as well make the box. No last minute scrambling this time...I hope. Anyways, here's the aforementioned receptacle.

This is the view from the top. I'm using neutral tones with hints of gold. The papers are from PolkaDoodles Love and Cherish CD. The floral frame and sentiment are from Papermania's Confetti set, stamped in Espresso Truffle and Potter's Clay, respectively.

The box mesures 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 1-1/2" and in keeping with the theme I planted a golden bow and  couple of bling  finish the box.

To cut out the lid of the box, I used Spellbinders Fleur-de-Lis die on some chocolate CS.  Then,  with a gold pen I decorated the filigree edges of the die-cut.

I layered the inside of the box with more papers from the Love and Cherish collection.

I'm taking this project to: The Play Date Cafe #176 "Cappuccino, Slate, Burlap"; Moving Along With The Times "Lets Get Krafty"; Loves Rubber Stamps #46 "AG"; Stamping For The Weekend "Anything But A Card"; Hot Shot Craft #15 "Anything But A Card" and Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge #177 "AG"

Ok, so now it's your turn. Create any project with the theme Engagements, Wedding or Anniversaries and link it up to the Eclectic Ellapu challenge blog. Short on ideas? No problem. Swing by the rest of the DT and you' re sure to find something to get you started.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your projects. Happy crafting, folks!

Beijinhos!
